Hi Julia,

I didn't marry a Chinese woman. My wife is Japanese. But we met in China and we live in China and my children speak Chinese. There are literally a million expats here in China, of which many are married to Chinese. So us being here is not particularly extraordinary...other than my wife just being, in general, extraordinary.

If you are interested in seeing more about my our "Nation of Four", including more restaurant reviews, you are certainly welcome to visit the personal blog, which is at www.taikongren.net/hard-boiled-shanghai.

Regards,
Jesse Covner
